Out of the dark of my deepest fears,

Beneath the flood of my pouring tears,

I hear a voice calling, soft and warm,

Drawing me into my Father’s arms.

When life seems cold and fear crowds in.

When all my hope is at an end,

I hear his voice say, “Peace, be still.”

Teaching me how to know His will.

I long to rest in my Father’s arms,

Safely shielded from all life’s harms,

To hear His voice whisper my name,

Telling me that He’s glad I came.

So out of the dark of my deepest fears,

Despite the depth of my pouring tears,

I left my voice to praise my Lord

I lift my heart to hear His Word.

When life seems cold and hope is gone,

He gently pulls me into his arms,

He sings to me and holds me close,

And this is the place I love the most!
